UNIVERSITY OF MELBOURNE WALTER BOAS BUILDING
The Walter Boas Building on the main university campus at Parkville has recently been renovated to accommodate a number of tenants including the university’s Sustainability Centre. In order to provide a living demonstration of the technology, it has been fitted out with a direct geothermal system.
Hurlcon Hydronic Heating's wall mounted Coanda's (now available as an updated Solazar model) and Thermaboards have been used for the hydronic heating provided by the geothermal system. With their high efficiency low H2O copper and aluminium water to air heat exchanger, which allows a faster heat up time for reduced operating costs as well as being long lasting and fully recyclable, they are a perfect companion choice for the hydronic heating system. Designed and made right here in Keysborough Melbourne, they fit perfectly with the sustainable principles of the redevelopment.
